Welcome to the Montgomery Quarterback Club!

While we are not holding weekly meetings this season due to COVID-19, we are presenting our weekly Player of the Week Awards.

We are pleased to announce our Players of the Week for games of October 29-30-31. John David Bonner from Trinity Presbyterian School is the Private School Player of the Week and Khurtiss Perry from Park Crossing High School is the Public School Player of the Week.

John David Bonner, a senior quarterback, passed for 174 yards and 4 touchdowns in Trinity’s 33-7 win over Saint James. Bonner also rushed for 71 yards on 13 carries. Trinity, coached by Granger Shook, is 8-2 on the season and hosts Flomaton (7-2) this Friday in the first round of the AHSAA Class 3A playoffs.

Khurtiss Perry, a junior running back/defensive lineman, had three touchdown runs in Park Crossing’s 29-30 loss to Jeff Davis. One of Perry’s runs covered 41 yards. On defense, Perry recorded 14 tackles and 3 sacks. Park Crossing, coached by L.C. Cole, finished the season with a 4-7 record.

Both players will be honored by a group of Board Members at a time and place specified by the head coach.

Congratulations to Khurtiss and John David!
